Legislative Efforts

The primary driver for the advancement of cleaner fuels is legislation on both the federal and state levels. Without legislation encouraging and even requiring the use of clean-burning fuels such as ethanol, the markets would not develop.

CFDC has taken an extremely active role in shaping the legislation that will propel clean fuels to the next level. From meetings with federal lawmakers on Capitol Hill to governors and state legislators across the country, CFDC helps ensure that the decisions are what are best for our country in the long-term.

It is on the federal level where most of the action is currently taking place. The Coalition is actively engaged in all regulatory and legislative issues associated with the implementation of the Renewable Fuels Standard.
